Morbius What It's About New Release Date, Trailer, and More

The number of characters out of Marvel comics is endless. Despite the fact that thanks to the MCU we have seen several favorite superheroes and villains materialized on the big screen, the reality is that the material in the comics is never going to finish being transferred to the cinema and not all of its characters are going to work from the same way.

On this subject, Morbius, one of Spider-Man's enemies, finally has his adaptation to the seventh art and will be played by the Oscar winner: Jared Leto. Morbius is one of the most unique villains in the arachnid universe; He suffers an event very similar to that of several of Spider-Man's enemies, but he also has a profile by which he can be considered an antihero. It is one of the strong cards of Sony and the expectation of the study is to achieve the same reception from Venom.

Michael Morbius is a biochemist with a very rare and severe blood disorder. After conducting an experiment to try to reverse his situation, he ends up acquiring superhuman abilities very similar to those of a vampire. The plot is set in the current era and is a mixture of horror and action. It will be part of the Spider-Man Universe and we could already verify it with various details.

As already mentioned, Jared Leto was chosen to head this production and bring the character to fruition. The decision was somewhat risky, since after playing another comic villain: Joker in Suicide Squad, the results were disastrous, they even chose to put aside his version in the DC Extended Universe. The cast also includes Matt Smith, who will be the villain of the plot playing Loxias Crown, a friend of the star and whose condition is the same. On the other hand, Adria Arjona is Martine Bancroft, Morbius' love interest and Tyrese Gibson is Simon Stroud, an FBI agent who follows Morbius.

A surprise is the participation of Michael Keaton with his role in The Vulture that he had in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but we assume that it will only be a cameo, although his collaboration will be vital for the future of the franchise. Behind Morbius is filmmaker Daniel Espinosa, who previously directed Life: Intelligent Life.
